St Anton Luxury Ski Chalets

One of the best ski resorts in the World, St Anton delivers abundant snow, varied terrain and lively après.

St Anton is home to some of Europe’s best ski terrain and liveliest après-ski, as well as being the birthplace of modern alpine skiing. It is a truly international resort with skiers and snowboarders from all over the world attracted to enjoy endless off-piste, deep powder snow descents and endless groomed slopes. The region presents a vast network of cable cars and lifts and, in addition to its spectacular beauty, the most reliable snow in Austria and excellent maintenance of its slopes.

The Arlberg ski region has an enviable snow record and there are endless challenges for experts as well as plenty of fun slopes for the less experienced, especially on the Rendl and Nasserein areas. There are 3 interconnecting mountain ski areas below the Gampen, Galzig and Valluga peaks. The ski pass also covers the neighbouring resorts of Lech, Zürs, Stuben and St Christoph should you wish to explore further.

St Anton is much better for skiers and boarders with a few weeks behind them and intermediates and the adventurous will find lots to entertain and explore. For advanced skiers and snowboarders and freeriders, St Anton is one of the greatest ski areas in the world. Off-piste abounds in all directions, with open bowls and famous descents waiting for your visit.

St Anton is not the easiest resort to choose if you are new to skiing or snowboarding. There are nursery slopes but there is a limited choice of slopes to progress and practice on. A much better choice for beginners is Lech, which shares the same ski area.

Après ski is really where St Anton sets the standard for the whole world. No other resort anywhere can match the on-piste après ski entertainment of St Anton. It really is the most fun resort on the planet. There are so many great après bars that we can’t mention them all, but hearty recommendations to the most famous ones like the Krazy Kangaruh and the Mooserwirt, which sells more beer than any other bar in the Alps.

Many partiers walk up the slopes to get to the Mooserwirt or KK just to join the party. At 3pm everyday the DJ at the Moose starts the party by playing ‘The Final Countdown’ by Swedish Band, Europe, and have been doing so since 1986.

St Anton has a pedestrianised village centre and offers plenty of activities away from the piste including a cinema, ice skating, bowling, curling, sleigh rides, tobogganing and the ‘Arlberg-well.com’ leisure complex. The 4.2 km long illuminated tobaggan run from Gampen via the Rodelhütte to “Rodelstall” in Nasserein has to be the best in Europe. Non skiers can also make their way to many of the après ski bars and lunch restaurants to meet their groups on-piste.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from in St. Anton. You can find a great range of cuisine including traditional Tyrolean fare. Some notable eateries are San Antonio, Rosanna’s, Pomodoro, Dixies 1 and 2, Nassereinerhof and Bobo’s. For a dining experience that turns into a nightclub we recommend Hugos.
